MASI: Managed Abstract System Interface

Welcome to the MASI development documentation, and thank you for your interest in the MASI-CiX SE engine! MASI is a (primarily) self-contained development platform for 2D, sprite-based games. It contains its own sound system, based on OpenAL, as well as texture decoders, and a fully featured sprite and particle engine.

For a quick overview of the engine, including requirements, see the Engine Overview page. A collection of frequently asked questions and answers are in the FAQ page. For those wanting to start using it immediately, see the Class Reference and Tutorial sections. Others may find the documentation on Supported Sound and Image Formats interesting, as well as the design of the Rendering Pipelines. A list of MASI Primitives is available to better plan how to use the engine, as well as discussion on adding your own primitives to the engine.

Information on Licensing, as well as Technical Support for the MASI engine is provided, as well as a set of appendices discussing various concepts that are required to effectively use MASI.
