Licensing

small logo

Overview:

If your game is freeware, or sold for the cost of manufacture/shipping, you are automatically granted a free license to use MASI, with the requirement that you display the MASI splash screen (built in to the engine) at the start of your program, and appropriately credit Acheron Design in your product.

Commercial software applications that use MASI must go through our commercial licensing arrangement. While MASI is free to use for non-commercial (this includes any shipping costs) products, should you start to profit from the program you write, you will have to get a full MASI license.

MASI licenses are decided on an individual basis, taking into account the sales cost, and size of the product. All MASI licenses are royalty based, with no lump-sum arrangement (unless specifically approved). It is our belief that if you do not profit from the software you make, we should not either - hence the royalty based system.

Email us to discuss licensing.
